Spurs keep trying to 'raise the ante' in Kawhi Leonard trade talks

Sixers unwilling to spend too much for Kawhi Leonard - Philly

Naturally, when a player of Leonard's stature becomes disgruntled and consequently available for trade discussions, there are going to be a host of teams competing for his services.

The Philadelphia 76ers are one of the National Basketball Association teams who expressed strong interest in trading for Kawhi Leonard of the San Antonio Spurs.

Many outlets began reporting in June that the 26-year-old has a strong desire to play for the Lakers as he's a native of Los Angeles, but trade talks have stalled between the two Western Conference rivals.

The Sixers' most realistic package to submit to San Antonio could involve Dario Saric, Robert Covington and the Miami Heat's 2021 unprotected first-round pick.

While the front office that selected Valanciunas has largely been replaced, there are still several notable decision-makers from that time who are with the team (and may have been enamored with Leonard back then).

Sacha Baron Cohen Teases New Trump-Trashing Project
In the video , titled "A Message From Donald Trump ", the President is seen talking about Cohen in unsurprisingly negative terms. Variety has said that "at least one or two episodes" have already been produced.

On the trade front, we saw European teen rookie sensation Luka Doncic get dealt on draft night, while role players like Austin Rivers and Marcin Gortat swapped teams, Dwight Howard landed in Washington, and Wilson Chandler was moved to the Philadelphia 76ers.

When healthy, Leonard proves to be one of the best two-way players in the league.

Gasol is entering the final season of a three-year, $48 million contract and could be in a familiar situation playing under Brett Brown, who comes from the school of Gregg Popovich as one of his former assistants.

Before the Sixers and other interested teams give a "Godfather" offer to the Spurs, it is highly likely that they will first want to get an assurance that Leonard is already 100 percent recovered from the quad injury.

If I'm betting on where Leonard lands in 2018-19, I would rank the Sixers, Lakers and staying with the Spurs as the top scenarios.
