According to multiple reports, the Cavaliers are signing power forward/center Channing Frye to a one-year, $2.4 million deal.

The 6-foot-11 center started last season with Cleveland but was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers on February 8 as part of a deal that sent Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance the Cavaliers. But it seems the Cavs are still interested in his talents, and he'll be back on the roster this fall.

While that strengthening further up the field will undoubtedly help Liverpool , goalkeeper is an obvious area for improvement. Alisson , 25, had a breakout campaign for Roma last season where he was considered one of the best goalkeepers in Europe.

The Cavs traded Frye to the Lakers as part of a salary dump this past season.

Frye was a fan favorite and dependable role player in Cleveland for coach Tyronn Lue.

"Well I guess this is hello again", Frye posted Saturday on Instagram, including a photo of himself wearing a Cavaliers jersey.

Frye is the Cavs' first free-agent signing this offseason.

The 13-year National Basketball Association vet later expressed his love for Cleveland on social media, however, and his love for the area never wavered.
