Trivia Tuesday: Home Run Derby winners over the years

Home Run Derby results today: Bryce Harper of Washington Nationals wins

Bryce Harper Caught Fire At The End Of The Final Round To Win The 2018 Home Run Derby

Harper took on Chicago Cubs player Kyle Schwarber in the final round and defeated him by a score of 19 to 18 home runs.

Harper would go on to hit a HR Derby walk off with the title in his bonus 30-second round.

Well, I don't blame you for staying away, because there wasn't much to see from the sluggers who swung for the fences at Nationals Park in Washington.

I have a hunch that all will be forgiven by those fans if Harper signs with the Cubs in the offseason.

Schwarber went first and banged 18 homers. A camera caught Harper skipping down the runway and bounding up the steps like Rocky Balboa, and the crowd erupted when he emerged to take aim at Schwarber, according to ESPN.

In all, Hoskins hit 37 homers in two rounds, with the deepest two going 466 and 463 feet.

It was nevertheless a power-packed showing for Hoskins, the fifth Phillies player to compete in the derby and first since Ryan Howard in 2009.

Adidas promises to use only recycled plastics by 2024

New York Giants quarterback Davis Webb won the Home Run Derby during the Landon Collins Celebrity Softball Game back in 2017 (Webb lost his crown to fellow teammate Shane Smith last month).

"This is a direct violation and all balls hit before the previous ball landed should be out", the petition, now with 30 signatures, reads.

Bryce Harper acknowledges the crowd after winning Monday's Home Run Derby at Nationals Park.

Harper's nine home runs in 47 seconds gives him 0.19 home runs per second, which, again, is just odd to write down.

If you were willing to pay a little more, seats down the third base line now cost $14 after the discount.

Next, Schwarber edged the Houston Astros' Alex Bregman, 16-15.

Next up was 2018 breakout star Max Muncy, who had pulled off a shock in the first round by knocking out Javier Baez.
