He also told the tabloid that his daughter is strong and controlling, and is someone who likes to be in charge, so her new life must be hard.

The newly-minted Duchess of Sussex, 36, is struggling to cope with the transition from TV actress to a member of the royal family with public responsibilities, according to her dad. He pointed out that Meghan is always covering her knees and went even as far as saying that she looked "outdated".

Thomas told The Sun he last spoke to Meghan and Harry, briefly, after the wedding and has been unable to reach her since then.

Thomas also called out the royal family's dress code.

Sources say that after Thomas' media interviews, the palace can't trust him, so he won't have any access to his daughter or get any invitations to future royal events.

"[They] are frustrated he keeps speaking to the tabloids and taking payment for interviews", the source adds.

He told the Sun on Sunday: "My thing about my daughter right now is that I think she is terrified".

The adorable couple appeared to be having fun watching the match from the royal box, sharing some big laughs during the game.

"I don't care whether she is p***ed off at me or not". 'And I want to be her [future] child's grandfather and I want to be near them.

"I would like to make this my last interview", he said. "But I've already made it clear that I'm paying for this for the rest of my life", he said.

"I still want to meet the Queen".
