The Islamabad High Court on Tuesday adjourned the hearings of appeals filed by jailed former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz, and son-in-law Captain Safdar Awan against their conviction in a corruption case, Geo News reported.

On July 12, the Supreme Court had annulled the 2015 verdict of election tribunal which ordered re-election in Lahore's NA-125 - the seat won by Saad Rafique.

Taking aim at defeating Imran in the election, Shehbaz said he will bring Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz out of jail through the power of vote. Maryam and Safdar's counsel Amjad Pervaiz also filed the appeals on behalf of them, Geo TV reported. Furthermore, the court was appealed to release Sharif, Maryam and Safdar on bail respectively.

He demanded the government provide all basic facilities, including access to a personal doctor and air-conditioning, to Nawaz Sharif.
