Elderly residents sneak leave nursing home to go to huge metal festival

But these two elderly LADs have proved they're not growing up any time soon when they escaped from their nursing home to attend the world's biggest music festival.

The nursing home then arranged for a auto to get the men back to the nursing home safely after police escorted them from the festival.

The elderly metalheads reportedly did not want to leave the festival so easily.

On Friday, state officials warned residents and visitors to take precautions in case Hector gets closer to the island chain. The eruptions have displaced thousands of residents , damaged roads and destroyed hundreds of homes.

According to a yarn from Germany's NDR, a nursing home in Dithmarschen had noticed two residents were missing.

Eventually, they were persuaded to leave and police escorted them home with the help of a taxi and a patrol auto. "Both were disoriented and apathetic", Merle Neufeld, a local police spokesman, told NDR broadcaster.

Tickets for next year's Wacken Open Air are now on sale, with a handful of bands including Parkway Drive, Sabaton, Airbourne, Avatar and Meshuggah already confirmed. Headliners included Clawfinger, Dimmu Borgir, In Extremo, Judas Priest, Nightwish, Oomph as well as the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

The festival was sold out with 75,000 people expected to attend each of the four days and out of those 75,000 were a couple of grey-haired geriatrics.
