Aston Villa in astonishing move as they make €20m bid for coveted Barcelona defender

Manchester United have held an interest in the Colombia global as Jose Mourinho looks to bring in a new centre-back before the end of the transfer window, but it appears that Everton are leading the race to sign the 23-year-old.

According to The Mirror, United are understood to have found a breakthrough with regards to the central defender after Spurs chose to come down from their £75m valuation.

Barca now have six centre-backs in their squad and only three - Gerard Pique, Samuel Umtiti and new signing Clement Lenglet - appear guaranteed to be at the club when the season begins. But the Foxes rejected a £65m bid for Maguire, which forced United to look elsewhere.

The former Porto manager has voiced his frustration many times in pre-season about the Old Trafford outfit's inability to get deals over the line, with central midfielder Fred the only big name to arrive this summer.

Al-Saadah was among the first women to run for office in Saudi Arabia in 2015 as part of a campaign for women's political rights. Canadian foreign ministry officials were not available for an immediate comment on Sunday.

And this development has led to United calling off their pursuit of Mina and turning their attention back towards Alderweireld.

According to The Mirror, Manchester United are closing in on the Belgian International for a reported fee of 60 million. Spurs felt this will be the right move to cash in on the former Atletico Madrid man at an optimum price.

Everton completed the signing of Digne, a 25-year-old French left-back who has previously played Lille, Paris Saint-Germain and Roma, for close to £18 million pound last week.

Mina impressed for his country at this summer's World Cup, scoring three goals as Colombia reached the second round, before being eliminated by Gareth Southgate's England side.
