The Xiaomi A2 which is exclusive to Amazon has its price range starting from Rs.16,999 for the 4GB RAM and 16 GB inbuilt storage variant. The phone comes in two variants: NEX A and NEX S - we expect Vivo to only launch the topend NEX S in India because they're gunning for the premium market. Interestingly, Xiaomi has assured that it will soon launch the 6GB/128GB variant in India. Xiaomi said that the device will be available on Mi.com, Amazon.in and Mi Home offline stores.
Xiaomi is also trying to highlight the camera of the new device with a special photography competition being held on Xiaomi India website.
Britain to request extradition of suspected Novichok attackers from Russian Federation
The UK is reportedly planning to demand that Russian Federation extradites two suspects in the Salisbury nerve agent attack. Charlie Rowley and Dawn Sturgess were subsequently treated for exposure to the nerve agent.
Xiaomi Mi A2 features the same 5.99-inch IPS LCD screen that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and the Redmi Note 5 Pro have. On the top, the company is also offering 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Both phones feature a metal body with curved edges. However, the device looks quite different from the Mi A1 since it now has a near bezel-less design.
The Zenfone 5Z will be the second smartphone to be available in India with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. Needless to mention, the SoC is a significant upgrade from the Snapdragon 625 chipset that is used in the Mi A1. Also, the device packs an Adreno 520 GPU. The model with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB storage will be available for Rs 16,999 and the model with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage will be made available in the later part of the year. Though the device has a dual nano-SIM card slot (4G + 4G) the smartphone does not offer a micro SD card slot for storage expansion. It has vertically stacked dual-rear cameras. Xiaomi insists the additional 20MP sensor at the back aids in lowlight imaging. Honor Play has the same dual camera setup and the fingerprint sensor at the rear. Incidentally, Xiaomi Mi A2 does not have a 3.5mm audio jack, which means traditional 3.5mm headphones can not be connected to the smartphones directly. It is powered by a 3,010mAh battery with a USB Type-C port. The phone boots Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with Android One certification from Google meaning that the phone will be eligible for monthly security updates and patches. It will also get the Android Pie update and will also support Android's new gesture-based update with that comes with the update.
