Idris Elba could have the'power and'strong presence needed to be 007

According to reports in The Independent, producer Barbara Broccoli has hinted the door is open for a black Agent 007 in the future. Craig will play Bond one last time in the still untitled Bond 25 flick, although he has infamously tried to get out of the role in the past.

The Daily Star was present as director Antoine Fuqua revealed details of a conversation he had with the woman who calls the shots with all things James Bond, producer Barbara Broccoli.

Upon hearing that Elba is in the frontrunning to play Bond next, the internet shared their opinions. In one leaked email, Amy Pascal, who was the co-chairperson of Sony Pictures Entertainment at the time, told former Columbia Pictures vice president Elizabeth Cantillon that "Idris should be the next Bond". "Idris could do it if he was in shape", Fuqua said. You need a guy with physically strong presence.

Benjamin may have walked away from the tense exchange with Newton, but he was happy run into the end zone shortly thereafter. That may not be the case anymore, as Newton didn't seem able to say what he wanted when approaching Benjamin in-person.

As the caption makes mention of, Henry Cavill has also been someone fans could see taking the role after Craig, and in a recent interview, he seemed to be down for the idea as well.

In response, the 45-year-old actor made light of the rumours with a lighthearted tweet. "Are we interested in having a Bond character other than being a male?" he said.

'Bond would be a really fun role. "Could be a woman, could be a black woman, could be a white woman, but I think, that character, everybody would like to see it have - do something different with it, why not?" I think that now that I have my Mission: Impossible badge we can do real stunts and really amp it up as well...' "So yes, I would love the opportunity and if they were to ask, I would say yes".
