Tiger Woods to play in his first PGA Championship in 3 years

I haven't played well enough when it has counted, admits Rory McIlroy

Rory McIlroy says he is confident that he will rectify some technical issues with his swing as he prepares for this week's US PGA Championship at Bellerive Country Club. "I know Phil (Mickelson) didn't win until his 30s".

Here's how to watch the 100th PGA Championship online.

He followed that with three rounds in the 70s at the Bridgestone Invitational last week, leaving him a full 20 shots off the pace - and outside the top 20 for the eighth consecutive event. Rain fell again in 2013 for the Senior PGA Championship, when the hugely popular Fred Couples withdrew early in the week and Kohki Idoki beat Kenny Perry and local hero Jay Haas to provide Bellerive with a relatively unknown victor.

"I always have hope", Fowler said.

"Having had a few goes at it, I think less expectations is better", McIlroy said.

"I've got nothing to lose". I'm 42 now and I've had four back surgeries. "I was fresh, in form, going to a place where if I worked up the leaderboard I could create a lot of noise". The only thing I haven't done is win enough. My knee used to hurt a lot, but I could play around that.

Hundreds of flights cancelled across Europe in Ryanair strike
French news source France Info dubbed the strike "historic", specifying that it is the biggest walkout in the history of Ryanair. Belgium-based Ryanair pilots gather at Charleroi Airport as part of a European-wide strike.

Dustin Johnson, Patrick Reed, Brooks Koepka and Justin Thomas have already clinched spots, but there are four more automatic spots in play. He can lose it to Rose if Rose wins and Johnson finishes worse than in a tie for seventh. "But there's so many good guys that are right there, right behind me that I've got to continue to play very, very well if I want to stay in that position".

Bellerive is busier than usual on the final day of practice for the PGA Championship.

Thomas talked about getting himself back into contention.

Woods himself came back to competitive golf at the end of past year with low expectations and a desire simply to play pain-free which he believes he has now achieved. I didn't really have those issues when I was early in my career because I didn't have a fixed point in my back. This seems like a golf course that is right there in front of you. But I don't feel any added pressure from it.

Tiger Woods has won 14 majors during his legendary career. "It's hard to put your finger on why I would have performed better in one event and not so much this one".

The former world number one would have been the youngest player to achieve the feat if he had won the title previous year, but could only finish 28th at Quail Hollow as his close friend Justin Thomas lifted the Wanamaker Trophy. "I wasn't in the field till a couple of weeks ago".
