Honda Civic Receives New Styling, Sport Trim

2019 Honda Civic standardizes safety, sprouts Sport trim

India-bound Honda Civic facelift revealed

For the 2019 model year, Honda Sensing® is standard or available equipment on all Honda vehicle and light truck nameplates. Other updates include a full-width front splitter, chrome side pod accents, updated halogen or LED headlights, new wheel designs, and a chrome accent on the rear bumper of the sedan.

Honda didn't announce how much the 2019 Civic coupe or sedan would cost when it goes on sale later this year, although it's likely to be slightly more than the 2018 version, which started at $19,835 for a Civic LX sedan. This aside, there are expected to be no changes to the Civic's interior. The tenth generation of Honda executive sedan made global debut in 2016 and hence the latest model is just a nip and tuck to keep the product fresh till the arrival of the next generation. There are tweaks to the front and rear bumpers, as well as the grille. Both the coupe and sedan get new wheel designs with the Touring trim getting larger 18-inch wheels.

For the Indian market, the 2019 Honda Civic will get a 1.6-liter diesel engine and a 1.8-liter i-VTEC petrol engine. Sport trims also get an updated 7-inch Display audio system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Japanese carmaker has introduced mild cosmetic changes on the historic nameplate and has standardized its Honda Sensing technology in a bid to increase safety.

It was still an incredible week for Tsitsipas, who will move from 27th to 15th when the new world rankings are released Monday. World number one Nadal won a battle of the Tennis generations with Tsitsipas last April in the Barcelona title match.

The news certain to intrigue most buyers, though, involves the Civic's safety systems.

Going into details of the 2019 MY Civic, those without a keen eye would proably have a hard time looking for the changes. The worldwide variants get Honda Sensing safety suite standard which includes automatic emergency braking, road departure mitigation, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control.
