The seed has well and truly been planted, ladies and gentlemen.

Wilder is expected to defend his world title against Fury later this year, presuming that the undefeated Brit comes through Saturday night unscathed.

"That's how simple it is", said Wilder, 32, after he arrived at the weigh-in for Fury's contest.

Wilder had an aggressive confrontation with Fury's father John, and then had to be separated from the British heavyweight, who will be in action at Windsor Park this weekend.

The 30-year-old tipped the scales at a mammoth 258lbs ahead of his bout against Italian Franceso Pianeta, but Fury and Pianeta weren't the only heavyweights in the building.

Pianeta weighed in lighter than Fury at 18st (252 pounds) exactly. Paddy Barnes' fight against WBC flyweight champion Cristofer Rosales will open proceedings, followed by Fury.

Afghanistan is littered with unexploded ordnance left by decades of war. He also said that 194 insurgents had been killed and 147 wounded.

Since then Anthony Joshua has scooped up the belts vacated by Tyson Fury during his absence, while Deontay Wilder WBC title, thought to be equally prestigious.

It's a mystery to me how Deontay Wilder hasn't become more famous outside the ring.

Footage taken from the reception shows Wilder screaming: "I'll knock you out" at Fury with a crowd of people between them.

Wilder (40-0, 39 KOs) had only landed in Belfast that afternoon but went straight to Fury's weigh-in at the Europa Hotel. It is likely, however, that Wilder wasn't familiar with the venue, as he shouted his "Bomb Squad" catchphrase repeatedly.

Wilder will be ringside for Saturday's bout, and told BBC Sport he loved the "energy" of Friday's weigh-in as it provided him with a view as to what a bout with Fury would be like.
