Man Utd-Pogba

GETTY Man Utd boss Jose Mourinho insists he is happy with Pogba

Manchester United kicked off their Premier League season with a promising win over Leicester City.

Jose Mourinho rarely lasts three full seasons at a club.

"You cannot always operate the game the same way as the last one it always has to focused and we always want to play better than the last game. I don't want to talk for other people, I think you should ask him", he added. "You can be a rich club and buy the best players in the world but you cannot buy class and they showed that clearly, that was really obvious".

Speaking in an interview with Sky, Mourinho didn't refer to any particular passage of the fly-on-the-wall documentary, entitled "All or Nothing: Manchester City".

Unfortunately for them, the promise was short lived as they lost 3-2 to Brighton.

"I don't agree with José in terms of being disrespectful to them".

Earlier, Sergio Aguero netted his 13th hat-trick for Manchester City as the champions made light of the absence of the injured Kevin De Bruyne to thrash Huddersfield Town 6-1 and move joint top of the Premier League. We did it for ourselves.

"Well if he only wanted one then I would say that (the board let Mourinho down)", he said.

Signed from Juventus in 2016, the 25-year-old World Cup victor is Man United's club-record signing but has yet to prove himself as a consistent performer in the Premier League.

Guardiola, however, insists that "buying class" is not something City were attempting to do in the project.

"Liverpool are trying to win the title with their wonderful investment".

'Another goal could have changed things again but our second goal arrived too late. "Today, attacking 10 players in the box, I think we did it quite well".

"Maybe we didn't have the attitude to break them, to kill them when we had to kill them and to go through the lines". The Iranian global was the top scorer in the Eredivisie last season and enjoyed an impressive World Cup for Team Melli.

"We will not get driven away by these first two defeats". Without nothing they were winning 2-0, that gives them a big boost and that pushed us down mentally. Chris Smalling, trusted to play almost 50 games last season, was on the bench while Phil Jones, who started the FA Cup final in May, was not in the squad at all.

Favourite for the sack with many bookmakers, Mourinho was visually apoplectic at some of his players' defending at the Amex Stadium with Eric Bailly coming in for significant criticism during United's shoddy defensive display.
