While it's hard to make out on the CCTV footage above, the object you see flashing across the scene and landing in a shower of sparks is a Tesla Model S.
This is the startling moment a Tesla vehicle loses control and becomes airborne before crashing into an elementary public school in Ontario, Canada.
Investigators said the vehicle went airborne, landing 100 feet away before crashing into the parking lot and colliding with a a tree. Barrie Police Department has now charged a 46-year-old man with risky driving following the single-vehicle smash. After the crash, the four-door Model S was completely demolished.
