John Legend's EGOT Makes Him The Youngest Ever To Win All Four Awards

EGOT is an acronym for Emmy, Grammy, Oscars and Tony awards. But their bid for EGOT status was derailed when the Emmy for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics went to "Saturday Night Live" and their song "Come Back Barack" when Chance the Rapper was hosting.

Last night's 2018 Emmy Award wins for "Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert", have given Andrew Lloyd Webber, Tim Rice, and John Legend EGOT status. Sirs Andrew Lloyd Webber, Tim Rice and I joined that group when we won an Emmy for our production of their legendary show Jesus Christ Superstar. She posted a photo of Legend alongside fellow EGOT artists, lyricist Tim Rice and composer Andrew Lloyd Webber, and captioned it, "EGOT GOATS".

Legend, who has 10 Grammys, won a Tony award in 2017 for Best Revival of a Play as a co-producer for the August Wilson's stage play "Jitney;" and nabbed an Oscar for his original song "Glory" in 2015. Lopez is still technically the youngest-ever victor, as he was 39 years, 6 months, 3 days old when he won. So happy to be part of this team.

Final Round Of BMW Championship In Delaware County Postponed Until Monday
With a dubious weather forecast for Sunday, Woods will enter the final round 5 strokes back of leader Justin Rose. Schauffele is hoping for another opportunity to impress Jim Furyk before the Ryder Cup deadline.

Webber is 70 years old and Rice is 73 years old.

Legend joins a league of other official EGOTers, including Whoopi Goldberg (the only black woman EGOTer) and Audrey Hepburn.

But the celebration may continue as Legend, 39, who played Jesus in the musical, is also up for another trophy for outstanding actor in a limited series or movie at the Primetime Emmys next week.
