Cleveland had rallied in the fourth quarter to overcome a 21-7 deficit and had tied the game at 21-all with 1:58 remaining in the game. It was rainy there and it caused a problem for both kickers in overtime.

Each team had a field goal attempt in overtime, the Steelers missed a field goal and Pittsburgh blocked Cleveland's field goal.

The Pittsburgh Steelers offensive line powered running back James Conner to 135 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns.

Browns rookie Denzel Ward stepped up in the first quarter, he intercepted Ben Roethlisberger's pass when the Steelers were having a good drive.

But they forced a fumble by Conner and scored quickly on Carlos Hyde's 1-yard run to pull within a touchdown.

The play after Taylor's TD, Roethlisberger hit JuJu Smith-Schuster on a short slant over Briean Boddy-Calhoun, and he raced 67 yards down the left side to the Browns' 7.

One of the knocks on Taylor in Buffalo was that he often missed throws he should have completed, and that he was afraid to attempt passes over the middle. He tossed three interceptions in a 24-16 loss to Minnesota, including a pick six.

Joe Haden's absence for five games last season coincided with the increase in long pass plays allowed by the Pittsburgh Steelers secondary.
