Those prices included taxes and fees, plus there are no annual contracts for 5G Home.

Using Verizon 5G Home, customers can expect to see download speeds around 300mbps with the network sometimes peaking close to 1 Gib. Verizon Wireless customers will also get early purchasing access to 5G smartphones when they become available.

The 5G service will cost existing Verizon subscribers $50 a month, and $70 a month for non-carrier customers. The freebies don't stop there, though, as Verizon is also giving early 5G adopters three free months of YouTube TV as well as their choice of a free Chromecast or Apple TV. Instead of exclusively relying on an underground fiber optic cable, Verizon's technology simply involves installing a router built with fixed antennas to deliver the broadband wirelessly. "We appreciate the partnership of network equipment makers, device manufacturers, software developers, and chip makers in reaching this critical milestone". And best of all, there will be no data caps... Verizon says it will expand 5G broadband internet to additional cities, but didn't provide a time frame.
