Samantha has maintained that she went public with her feelings towards Meghan because she feels her father, Thomas Markle, deserves respect and that he shouldn't have been isolated. According to the newspaper, the 53-year-old argued with police guarding the palace gates before handing over a letter for her sibling.

Earlier in the week, Markle appeared on a United Kingdom television show, where she apologized for the insulting comments she's made, explaining that she's hoping for a reconciliation.
