Microsoft's October 2018 update for the Xbox One is finally here, and this update is a big one that adds some major new features to the console.
To celebrate the announcement, Amazon is offering discounted bundles of the Xbox One and Echo Dot hardware so you can get started using the feature right away. The new avatars include all body types, moods, items from games, and more.
They will appear all across Xbox One, including on your profile, as well as the profile pages of anyone who has made an avatars. You don't have to adopt a new Xbox Avatar if you don't want to, as you can keep your old Avatar if you so wish, but there are new items in the Avatar Store, including licensed props from the likes of Halo and Gears of War.
The other big new feature launching today is the new Xbox skill for Cortana and Alexa, which is now available in the U.S. only.

With Amazon Echo integration users are now able to turn on their console by voice, change volume, launch games and apps, start and stop Mixer broadcasts and capture screenshots and more. If you buy now from Amazon, you'll get a free Amazon Echo Dot to go along with an Xbox One S or Xbox One X. At least while supplies last.
Amazon will soon offer a package deal for US purchases of qualified Xbox One X and Xbox One S bundles that also includes an Echo Dot.
Lastly, Avatars and Dolby Vision support, five additional languages are being added to Xbox One's Narrator feature: Spanish, Portuguese, Polish, Swedish, and Dutch will be available when the new October update hits. As of today, Netflix is the only video streaming app that supports Dolby Vision on the Xbox One, but Microsoft is looking to add more partners in the future.
To enable Dolby Vision on your console, navigate to Settings - Display and sound - Video output - Video modes - Allow Dolby Vision.
