Major League Baseball releases World Series schedule as Red Sox await opponent

This Astros Fan Is Now Big Part of Playoffs, Accidentally

Interference call in Astros-Red Sox playoff game conjures Jeffrey Maier and the 1996 Orioles-Yankees ALCS

After winning game one in Boston, the Astros lost four straight including the last three in Houston.

Price tipped his cap to a few hundred Red Sox fans assembled behind the Boston dugout while they cheered as he walked off the field following postgame interviews. In Game 5, with the Red Sox on the verge of clinching a World Series berth, Eovaldi was called on to shut down Astros again in relief and humiliated Bregman with a 102-mph fastball up and away.

"We knew the skinny guy was ready for Game 6", Cora said after Price and the Red Sox finished off the Astros.

On just three days of rest, Price was completely dominant for the Sox on the road.

Kate Upton on Wednesday blasted commenters on Twitter for their "degrading" comments after she voiced her opinion about a fan-interference call during an Astros-Red Sox playoff game.

It was his first scoreless outing in 12 postseason starts.

Hopefully there's plenty of Saturday Night Fever on Tuesday night against the Brewers or the Dodgers because that'll mean the Sox are racking up extra-base hits and pushing a boatload of runs across the plate. Martinez and Verlander were teammates back when they both played for the Detroit Tigers. They took the American League flag in 1904, but the World Series wasn't played that year.

US Fed officials signal further gradual rate hikes
In the longer term, however, some analysts see rising interest rates and mounting debt weighing on the dollar. Speculation that the US Treasury would make that claim formally this week has not been borne out, however.

Devers joined an exclusive club with his third postseason home run before turning 22. It's safe to say, he was feeling it.

All nine of Bradley's RBI came with two outs.

It made sense for Verlander to take the mound for Game 5, an elimination game for the Astros. The 35-year-old entered the day 4-0 with a 1.15 ERA over his last four postseason starts in which his team faced elimination.

As good as Verlander pitched through the first five innings - one run, a JD Martinez home run in the third and three other hits - Price was simply better. His six swings and misses matched his lowest total of the year. It was a postseason that included the growing legend of playoff George Springer, one-legged Jose Altuve and the return of Mar-win Gonzales. In Verlander's starts at home it was even worse as Houston scored 3.84 runs per game.

That did not sit well with Astros fan Kate Upton and she took to Twitter to take Major League Baseball and West to task from her seat behind home plate at Minute Maid Park in Houston.

It was virtually unimaginable that the Red Sox could march into Minute Maid Park with the series tied at 1-1 and fly out of here three victories later.
