OnePlus 6T launch live stream: how to watch it and what to expect

T-Mobile will carry the new OnePlus 6T, the first time a phone from the popular Chinese manufacturer has been offered by a US wireless provider. Something of an evolution of the OnePlus 6, the latest handset features a smaller notch, an in-screen fingerprint reader, and no headphone socket.

But, just what will those users be getting if they do opt to purchase OnePlus 6T from T-Mobile - or, on any other network for that matter?

A wealth of information about the new handset is also available on the OnePlus site.

The OnePlus 6T has a slightly bigger 6.41-inch full HD OLED display than the OnePlus 6.

The camera specs aren't too dissimilar from the 6's either - the snappers are 16mp and 20mp. You must have a OnePlus 6 with OxygenOS 9 based on Android Pie so it can be installed on top of the current OPWallpaperResources system app.

A Chinese smartphone company whose high-end products are little known outside a tech-savvy niche entered the US market on Monday with the backing of two key local allies - chipmaking giant Qualcomm and mobile operator T-Mobile US - and no questions from US regulators.

OnePlus said it needed to free up the space for the battery, which is why the jack is gone. Although the smartphone doesn't support wireless charging technology, it does comes with the company's proprietary Fast Charge fast charging technology. We begin this episode by talking about the OnePlus 6T's design, which is where we mention the new waterdrop style notch.

The OnePlus 6T will be available in Midnight Black and Mirror Black, though knowing OnePlus, they will end up launching more colors of the device a few weeks down the line. Those looking to buy it without T-Mobile contract will be able to get it directly from the OnePlus site as of November 1st, with a price set at $549 for the 6GB/128GB version, $579 for the 8GB/128GB, and $629 for the 8GB/256GB model.
