Further, it could cost a fortune as rumours have it that it may be priced at almost $1,500 which roughly translates to over Rs 1 lakh. So, a lot of people are pretty vocal about not caring for a foldable phone.

Research firm Strategy Analytics forecast in May global sales of just 1.2 million foldable phones next year though should soar to about 64.9 million phones in 2023.

If you were the cynical sort, you might think that Samsung has only posted the tease because of the rumor last week that its bitter local rival, LG, would show off its own foldable smartphone at CES 2019, which is just two months away.
