During resulting discussion on video games forum ResetEra, industry analyst Daniel Ahmad confirmed that the PlayStation 4 edition of "PUBG" would be made available in December. Microsoft is offering free access to "PUBG" online this coming weekend, perhaps to mark the end of the game's console exclusivity.
Like "Fortnite: Battle Royale" and other games that it inspired, "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" throws 100 players onto a single map with scattered resources. In either case, the last person or team left alive wins the match.
The release of PUBG on PS4 wouldn't come as too much of a surprise.

The PS4 release comes one year after PUBG was released for the Xbox One as a timed console exclusive. The two big Ps, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and Pro Evolution Soccer 2019, are free on Xbox One right now. PUBG's PC player numbers have dropped quite a bit, with most players now seemingly Chinese mobile ones. Microsoft has confirmed that the game can only be downloaded and played for free from November 8 to November 11. In an official statement, it said: "We're proud to announce this next step in PUBG Corp.'s plan to cement our place as a global esports platform". Its free version is released for a limited amount of time.
PUBG being released on XBOX primarily makes sense as the game is a windows-based game.
