Dez Bryant's Season Looks Like It's Over Before It Starts

Several other National Football League players, including former Cowboys teammate Cole Beasley, reacted to the news by tweeting support for Bryant.

On the Saints' end, the team was in some serious need of wide receiver depth when they added Bryant and now they're back at square one. Unfortunately, the top team in the NFC South just received horrendous news surrounding its newest acquisition.

Now, it appears his season could be over before he even made his debut.

Former Dallas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant's stint with the New Orleans Saints might be over before it started as the team fears he tore his Achilles tendon on the last play of practice Friday, per multiple reports. He was carted off the practice field and taken to get an MRI.

That information has to be presented to the voter's county supervisor of elections office by 5 p.m. today. Senate and agriculture commissioner are within the machine recount window of half of 1 percent.

It looks like disaster has struck for Dez Bryant. And as ESPN's Adam Schefter reported shortly after the injury news, it seems the Saints may already be working on a contingency plan in the former of another wideout.

This is just very bad for both the Saints and Bryant.

Expect everyone in the Big Easy to wait for confirmation on the injury.
