Some Windows 10 users are reporting license issues resulting in warnings that their system is not activated. Earlier that same year, Microsoft took eight days to come up with a rejiggered fix for a math bug a previous patch had inserted into Excel.
There is an ongoing issue about Windows 10 suddenly shown as deactivated. Users may receive the following notification: "Error: you are running Windows 10 Pro, but you have valid digital license for Windows 10 Home", or one of the following error codes 0X803F8001, 0xC004C003. But don't worry, it was an issue with Microsoft servers, not your copy of Windows. This happens in Japan, Korea, American and many other countries. The October 2018 Update is still MIA, and there's no word yet on when it will arrive or if it will fix the numerous problems users have reported.
Microsoft has acknowledged the problem. This issue does not appear to be isolated and is impacting a significant number of users.
