"We are expecting this to bring some early winter weather with heavy snow and very cold winds in the north and a risk of wintry showers even across southern Britain". Clouds will stick around on Tuesday, as highs drop into the lower 40's. Temperatures Thursday will still be unseasonably cold, with daytime highs in the upper 30s to near 40 degrees.

The company's push to build a second home base highlights how massively Amazon has expanded during its 20-plus year history. The project is expected to bring 25,000 jobs to each of the locations. "These are very big numbers", he said.

Clouds, showers and rain continue today through Thursday.

We'll keep an eye on this event, as this particular model may be going a little on the low side with forecast amounts. Because there will be enough cold air at all layers of the atmosphere when the storm begins, many of us will see our first snow of the season.

Mostly cloudy Friday with a slight chance for spotty pockets of rain or snow. Sunny skies are anticipated, along with some gusty winds Tuesday night and Wednesday.

Drier weather will finally move in during the day on Friday. Cooler on Sunday with highs in the upper-40s.
