The former Real Madrid Castilla manager knows the lot well from his days with the youth setup of the Whites, but the way he has helped the younger players feel bask into form in the first team is awesome.

Santiago Solari has been officially named Real Madrid's permanent manager.

"He has a lot of experience and he knows how things work, like (Zinedine) Zidane, he knows what it's like to be a Madrid player, I think that helps when you're a coach there".

Solari took over on an interim arrangement on October 29 following the sacking of former boss Julen Lopetegui, and promptly transformed the club's form, winning four games in a row to register the best start for a manager in the club's history.

Lopetegui was sacked after a run of form that saw Madrid sink to ninth in the table, but after Sunday's 4-2 win at Celta, they sit sixth, four points behind leaders Barcelona.

Solari has already recorded victories as Real Madrid manager.

The former Spain coach was dismissed after a crushing 5-1 defeat by Barcelona in El Clasico underpinned a disappointing start to their league campaign.

"The truth is that we are very happy with him", Madrid director Emilio Butragueno told Movistar+. It's a great opportunity.

Santiago Solari on Tuesday (Nov 13) was confirmed as Real Madrid coach until 2021 following his successful spell in charge as caretaker boss of the European champions. "I don't just say that now as coach of the first team".

The challenge for Solari will be to manage the dressing room when results take a turn for the worse.
