The former first lady of the United States criticized the philosophy of feminism from the Facebook chief operating officer, detailed in Sandberg's 2013 book Lean In: Women, Work and the Will to Lead, during an appearance at Barclays Center in Brooklyn over the weekend.

Former first lady Michelle Obama gave her very candid opinion Saturday on the idea that women can "have it all" when it comes to work and family.

"That whole, "So, you can have it all" - nope, not at the same time", Ms Obama said.

NY magazine reports that while speaking at an event for her new book Becoming in NY city, former first lady Michelle Obama, criticized Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg's "lean in" strategy. They cheered as she apologized, saying,"I forgot where I was for a moment!"

On Twitter, some took offense to Obama's use of a curse word.

Obama on Monday returned to the inner London girl's school she first visited nine years ago to talk about her life and the importance of education and working hard at school.

Michelle Obama said that the "lean in' approach for women in the workplace, advocated for by Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg, isn't always enough for women. It is hard. I love my husband, and we have a great marriage, and we've had a great marriage, but marriage is hard work".

In a study this year, a group of Duke University psychology professors used 2,000 participants to test the "lean in" approach and how it worked with structural and systemic disadvantages women face in the workplace. Just days after saying "I do" to Prince Harry at St. George's Chapel, she made her first public appearance at a Garden Party in honor of Prince Charles' birthday. "I think it's okay - it's good, even - to do that...."

"I don't wanna be president", she said, as reported by the New York Post.

"As much as we wanted children. kids are an interrupter", Mrs. Obama added.

"This is ideal", tweeted writer and activist Amy Siskind. She said sometimes young people enter in to marriage too hastily.

One person tweeted that while she "may not agree politically.as a woman who has given her all to being a wife, mother and "successful" professional I agree with Michelle Obama 100% on this".
