Prince William and Kate Middleton will be joining Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at the Queen's Sandringham gathering despite rumours of a royal rift.

The royal family traditionally spends Christmas at Sandringham-a formal affair that involves black tie meals, a morning church service, and a viewing of the Queen's speech.

In previous years, William and Kate spent some Christmases with the duchess' parents Michael and Carole Middleton at their Berkshire home.

Noting that there'd be "total astonishment" if these plans fall through, the insider said, "It's the best of both worlds in that they can take part in all the festivities at the big house, while retreating into their own space when needed".

The royal family will spend the holidays together.

In an incredibly rare move, a Kensington Palace spokesperson issued a denial about alleged feud and other stories going around: "This never happened".

It was also reported that Kate confronted Meghan last Christmas, when the former Hollywood diva acted "downright rude" in front of the royals.

New Caledonians ordered to shelters in tsunami alert after large quake
The US Geological Survey (USGS) said the quake struck southeast of Loyalty Islands, New Caledonia at a depth of 10 kilometres. The populations of Vanuatu and New Caledonia are similar, with just over 280,000 people living in each archipelago.

Piers claimed Meghan met Prince Harry for dinner that same evening, went on a solo date with him the following night and according to Piers, never messaged him again since.

Two family members who will definitely have their turn at decorating a Christmas tree this year are the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

Kate told her guests: "William and I just wanted to pass on our huge gratitude to all of you here today".

After all, footage filmed during Kate Middleton's trip to Leicester seems to prove Kate is properly into Meghan and Harry's new baby already.

"Kate and Meghan are very different people, and they don't have a lot in common, but they have made an effort to get along", said the source.

On Tuesday, the couple hosted a party at Kensington Palace for the children of military personnel from RAF Marham in Norfolk and RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire.

One thing is for sure: all eyes will be trained on Meghan and Kate during this walk to see how they are interacting.
