Now that it’s free-to-play, CS:GO’s player count is rocketing

Valve makes CS:GO free-to-play with a battle royale mode, and some players aren't happy

Perhaps trying to emulate that game a little, Counter-Strike: GO now has a Battle Royale mode...and has also gone free-to-play.

Those looking to gain Prime Status can either reach Rank 21 by earning experience points and adding an eligible phone number or purchasing the Prime Status upgrade for $14.99 in the Steam store or in-game.

Video game publisher Valve has announced major updates for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. All players who already own the shooter will see their accounts upgraded to Prime Status. Players will find what they can, order what they need, and prepare for the unexpected. CS:GO does have its exclusively first-person perspective going for it, at least. Matches entered as a solo player have 16 people, while team matches have up to 18 players. The base game is now entirely free, giving players instant access to "all game modes, matchmaking, and a limited set of item drops and weapon cases". Beyond scavenging and getting the jump on special deliveries, you'll have a chance to complete money-making missions. According to Valve, Danger Zone games should last around ten minutes, keeping the pace and action up. Danger Zone arrives, of course, with 17 new seasonal weapon skins.

Ubisoft unveils Far Cry New Dawn
Ubisoft released a new teaser trailer on Wednesday for an unannounced " Far Cry " project. "You're all I have left now". Based on the teaser footage, and backed up by the leaked image, Far Cry: New Dawn will be a post-apocalyptic game.

Valve has finally chose to join the Battle Royale hype train, as it has made a decision to take the plunge following the likes of Fortnite, PUBG, H1Z1 and more recently Call of Duty Black Ops 4 to introduce the last man standing and victor takes all game mode.

Safes contain cash. You don't have the combination, but you might have some C4...

"Danger Zone", which is Valve's take on Battle Royale, where players are dropped in an unknown island with no supplies, guns or equipment, with the main aim of surviving till the end as the play area gets smaller and smaller. "Lab Rats (available by earning XP while playing Danger Zone matches) and the new Danger Zone case".
