Tyler Perry just reminded everyone of the true meaning of the season.
He spent $434,000 on items at a Walmart in East Point and another store in Douglasville.
'I was trying to do this anonymously but oh well!' the New Orleans-born producer wrote alongside the clip.
Perry shared a video on Twitter announcing that he paid off all the layaways at two Walmart stores on Thursday.
"If you have a layaway at either place and it was in there as of 9:30 this morning ..."

This whole situation could just be a "weird anomaly" or a "crazy statistical quirk, and we may never see it again", he added. Honestly, despite not being a seal and not having an eel now lodged up my schnozz, I can truly empathise.
"Talk about a Merry Christmas!". Well, almost. Individuals with items on reserve in those stores can go pick them up for a single penny. "I'm just really grateful to be able to be in a position to do this". "You've got to go into the Walmart, pay a penny - one penny - and you get your layaway".
The number of layaways Perry took care of is unknown, but a store manager at the Douglasville location told the AJC that the store typically has over 1,000 layaways during the holidays.
Perry took to his social media accounts to explain that he meant to keep the kind gesture completely anonymous, but the word quickly got out. "The heartfelt excitement and joy we're seeing from our customers as a result of his holiday gift has been touching".
Perry's tweet drew a number of complimentary responses, including one from a woman named Rosa Bell-Wilson, who said she was directly impacted by the act of generosity by the filmmaker. 'They were anxious about getting the kids Xmas Layaways out.
