Michael Cohen Should Get 'Substantial Prison Term,' US Attorney Says

The special counsel and federal prosecutors in NY are filing court memos detailing the cooperation of longtime Trump legal fixer Michael Cohen, who has admitted lying to Congress and orchestrating hush-money payments to protect the president. "Thank you!" Mr. Trump tweeted shortly after the filing.

Cohen had in August pleaded guilty to several charges related to tax evasion, lying to banks, and campaign finance fraud, and stated in court he had coordinated on campaign-finance felonies with a political candidate that could only have been the president, and who he later identified as Trump.

Cohen, dubbed Trump's "legal fixer" in the past, also described his work in conjunction with Trump in orchestrating hush money payments to two women - adult actress Stormy Daniels and Playboy model Karen McDougal - who said they had sex with Trump.

Dean, who served as Nixon's counsel from 1970 to 1973, was chosen by the president to lead a special investigation into the Watergate scandal.

Trump has denied any collusion with Russian Federation, and Russia has denied any interference in the USA presidential campaign.

Prosecutors directly implicated Trump in efforts to buy the silence of two women who claimed they had had affairs with him, saying he directed his then-attorney Michael Cohen to offer them hush money.

Third, Cohen provided relevant and useful information concerning his contacts with persons connected to the White House during the 2017-2018 time period.

Mueller's office has been tasked with investigating whether anyone in Trump's campaign conspired with the Russians who were waging those "active measures" against the United States and the West. They bring the legal peril from multiple investigations closer than ever to Trump, tying him to an illegal hush money payment scheme and contradicting his claims that he had nothing to do with Russian Federation.

Chelsea's Eden Hazard Reportedly Agrees Big Move To Real Madrid
Real on the other hand could offer Mateo Kavacic, who is now on loan at the London club, in a player-plus-cash-deal. Real Madrid have agreed personal terms with Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard over a move to the Bernabeu.

Trump says his campaign had nothing to do with them and he denounces Mueller's investigation as a "hoax" and a "witch hunt".

The filings also exposed lies told by Manafort during interviews with prosecutors and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The court papers say Manafort initially told prosecutors he didn't have contact with any people while they were in the Trump administration.

Cohen wanted to obscure from Congress and the public that if the project had been completed, Trump's company "could have received hundreds of millions of dollars from Russian sources in licensing fees and other revenues", prosecutors wrote.

US Attorney Robert Khuzami accused the 52-year-old, who once vowed to take a bullet for the president, of being motivated by "personal greed" and of "repeatedly" using his power and influence for "deceptive ends".

Dean's comments, made during CNN's "Erin Burnett OutFront" segment, follow the release of a legal memo from federal prosecutors in NY regarding Trump's former personal lawyer, Michael Cohen.

In the 40-page document Khuzami drew a direct link between Cohen's illegal behavior and Trump.

Manhattan prosecutors said in their sentencing filing that Cohen committed campaign-finance crimes "in coordination with and at the direction of Individual 1". It never took place.
