The Barron County Sheriff's Department reports Jayme Closs was found alive in Douglas County, Wisconsin.
The department shared on Facebook Thursday night that they've been notified by the Douglas County Sheriff's Department that they had located Closs alive.
A suspect was taken into custody about 10 minutes after authorities found Jayme, the sheriff's office said.
Closs disappeared on October 15, 2018, the same day her parents - James, 56, and Denise, 46 - were found shot to death inside their Barron home.
Barron Mayor Ron Fladten said he hadn't heard any details about Jayme's discovery but was overjoyed at learning she is alive. Investigators believe Closs was in the home at the time of the murders. We promised to bring Jayme home and tonight we get to fulfill that promise.
Jayme was nowhere to be found.
The Division 2 will release on the Epic Store, not Steam
It appears that The Division 2 for PC on the Epic Games Store has regional pricing. It will also be available for purchase through Ubisoft's own storefront .
Detectives have pursued thousands of tips, watched dozens of surveillance videos and spent countless hours searching for Closs in the months since her disappearance, but their efforts have not yielded a suspect or suspects.
The sheriff's statement said that its department "could not have endured this case without the support of the public and I want to thank them for all the support and help". From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU!'
Law enforcement officials haven't ruled out that Jayme unwittingly played a part in the crime.
911 logs released days later appeared to indicate that the cell phone of Closs' mother, 46-year-old Denise Closs, placed the call and that her father, 56-year-old James Closs, answered the door and was the first to be fatally shot. She had been missing for almost three months. She said the family is focused on supporting Jayme.
According to Closs's aunt Sue Allard, the teenager was found after escaping and finding a woman walking her dog near Gordon, Wisconsin.
There were days when it was hard to hold onto hope, he said. "I've always been a glass half-full kind of guy", Fitzgerald said at the time.
