"It is imperative that the players be put under suspension till a further course of action is decided in this case of misconduct as was done in the case of CEO when he was sent in the sexual harassment matter." she further added.

"We, as the Indian cricket team do not support views like that and that has been communicated. We are still waiting for a decision to be made".

Pandya has since reportedly also apologised to head coach Ravi Shastri, and former Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. "It does nothing to the spirit that we've been able to create within the change room and these are purely individual opinions and something as I said which is inappropriate".

While Rahul was expected to sit out of the playing XI for the first ODI, Pandya was a sure-starter in the role of an all-rounder.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli said the controversy surrounding Pandya and Rahul will not distract India's preparations for the upcoming ODI series Down Under and the World Cup.

"From the combination and team balance point of view, yes, you'll have to think about the combination you'll need now", Kohli said in his media interaction. "Combinations will have to be thought of once the decision comes out".

Amazon's Jeff Bezos has no prenup, $67B on the line
The divorce between Amazon CEO and founder Jeff Bezos and wife, MacKenzie, may be more complicated than originally expected. Even though Bezos wasn't rich at the time, the divorce is likely to make his ex-wife the richest woman in the world.

Pandya, who was in the squad that beat Australia for the first time in an away Test series, boasted about his success with multiple women. As Johar dove into Pandya's personal life, the latter made several free-wheeling remarks that displayed immaturity and an ingrained sense of misogyny, with people billing his comments as "crass, creepy, sexist, racist, and cringe-worthy". Later, when Johan asked him why he doesn't ask for the names of women at nightclubs since he has trouble remembering them, Pandya replied: "I like to watch and observe how they move".

The Committee of Administrators chief Vinod Rai had recommended a two-match ban on Rahul and Pandya.

"In any case the procedure set by the BCCI constitution will have primacy over procedure set out under Code of Conduct", it said.

If they are suspended pending inquiry, the legal team has recommended the appointment of an ad hoc Ombudsman, which could well mean more trouble for the duo.

A source in the BCCI said the two will be issued fresh show cause notices before a formal enquiry begins.
