Man charged for kidnapping teenager and killing parents

Jayme Closs, a 13-year-old northwest Wisconsin girl who went missing in October, has been found alive.

In a statement, attorneys Charles Glynn and Richard Jones said they awaited Jake Thomas Patterson's initial court appearance and the filing of charges against him on Monday. He was jailed on suspicion of kidnapping and homicide.

They described the 13-year-old as the suspect's "only target" and said Jayme was "taken against her will". Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald says Patterson extensively plotted the attack to the point where he shaved his head to avoid leaving forensic evidence behind. "I'd probably faint because I would be so happy to see her", Tuders said.

Jayme told the couple she had been held captive in a cabin and didn't know where she was or anything about Gordon.

"I'm lost and I don't know where I am, and I need help", Jayme told Nutter. (But) he knew what he was doing.

"We don't really know what shape she's in", he added.

A former classmate, who was not named, said Patterson stayed mostly to himself and was quiet. It's wild country; roadside signs admonish motorists to share the pavement with ATVs.

Jake Thomas Patterson grew up in Gordon, a sprawling township of 645 people tucked into the snowy evergreen forests about 35 miles south-southeast of Duluth. Property records show that the cabin belonged to Patterson's father.

Unemployed Patterson had no previous criminal history and was not on the radar of police. Jayme was believed to be home during the incident but was nowhere to be found during the investigation.

Despite Erik Patterson's criminal record, few across the township seem to have heard of his family.

Lastly, Apple retained the same fourth position with year-on-year growth of -3.8 percent, and Acer obtained the fifth position. Additionally, said Kitagawa, political and economic uncertainties in certain countries reduced the demand for PCs.

Neighbor Daphne Ronning told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that Patterson's parents moved to Gordon about 15 years ago.

"You're going to want to examine the charity itself, the organizer; make sure they've included some kind of description of how they are related to the family, what specific details about what they're going to do with the money", said Susan Bach of the Better Business Bureau. Another neighbour, Patricia Osborne, told the Minneapolis Star Tribune that the brothers often got into trouble.

In November, the sheriff said he kept similar cases in the back of his mind as he worked to find Closs, including the abduction of Elizabeth Smart, who was 14 when she was taken from her Salt Lake City home in 2002.

The news that Jayme was safe set off joy and relief in her hometown of Barron, population 3,300 and about 60 miles (100 kilometers) from where she was found.

She said, 'I'm Jayme, ' the woman told CNN affiliate WCCO. Smith wrote that the family faces a long road to recover from the ordeal.

Jayme was taken to a hospital in Minnesota after she was found, her aunt, Sue Allard, said.

The terrified teenager was found by dog walker and social worker Jeanne Nutter, who said the girl begged for help and revealed her name.

Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald says Patterson's goal was to kidnap Jayme but that the family didn't know him.

Jayme was found Thursday outside the rural community of Gordon, where Patterson was holding her against her will in his home, authorities said.

Jayme's grandfather Robert Naiberg said in a telephone interview on Saturday that no one in the family knew Patterson.
