Milwaukee County bus driver Irena Ivic told WLS that she spotted the little girl, who is less than 1-year-old, running along the side of the overpass in only a onesie and a diaper just before 8 a.m. on December 22.

The 19-month-old had been cold and scared but was otherwise unharmed, police said.

The child was eventually reunited with her father.

NOTE: Police first said the baby was a boy but later clarified that the child is actually a girl.

According to the cops, the child was left outside by his mother who is suffering from some mental health issues.
